We all have witnessed an exponential change in the way machines work in the last two decades, every day bringing a new edition of fascination to our homes! And in the present time, knowledge in the field of robotics and handling of microcontrollers is considered as a prerequisite for becoming a successful electronics or a computer science engineer. Presided by Apoorva Saxena(B.Tech CSE 3rd yr) and Rajul Prakash Gupta(B.Tech ECE 3rd yr), the club is aimed at reaching to all the robotics enthusiasts of our prestigious institute and providing this elementary level knowledge about manual to autonomous bots to each one of them.
JK ROBOTIX is one of the foremost student clubs that has been successfully running in the institute for the past one year. Started on a batch- level, the club currently comprises of more than hundred actively participating members from each and every batch of the institute. The club proceedings are handled by a group of students itself who have been assigned duties based on their skill and potential.
There are separate departments for research about the events, maintenance of modules and instruments, arranging and giving lectures about the theory involved and fund raising etc. The events organised by the club till now include Techtrix (a manual remote controlled car racing competition), a 4-day basic robotics workshop in association with BISD Labs, New Delhi about IR and LDR sensors, DTMF modules and line follower bots and many more.
Our plans for the recent future emphasize on taking part in as many nationwide robotics workshops and competitions held in the major colleges of India as possible. Meanwhile, many club-level competitions will be organized in the institute itself to sharpen the minds and thinking capabilities of its members.
